Eastern Atlantic: west of 15°W between the equator and 6°N, and from 13°S-17°S between 5°W and 10°W. Western Atlantic: off USA south to the equator including the Gulf of Mexico and the Antilles, and off Brazil. Also known from the Indian and Pacific Oceans.
