Spine dorsali (totale): 2; Raggi dorsali molli (totale): 6-7; Raggi anali molli: 10 - 13; Vertebre: 44 - 45. Distinguished from its congeners by a unique combination of the following characters: head length 29.0-32.5% SL, a gently curving snout and a slender, deeply-incised humeral process, and nine vertical columns of black spots on the sides of the body (Ref. 41209).
