背面の脊椎 (合計) : 11; 背鰭 (合計) : 15; 肛門の骨: 2; 臀鰭: 15. Body elongate and rounded. Adipose tissue around eye well-developed, with a rather undeveloped eyelid. Scales large, cycloid, and very deciduous.
