Adults inhabit coral-rich areas of clear lagoon and seaward reefs. They occur singly or in small groups and remains close to thickly branching coral shelter (Ref. 9710). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205). Diurnal species (Ref. 54980; 113699).
