เงี่ยงครีบหลัง (รวม): 0; เงี่ยงครีบก้น 0; ก้านครีบอ่อนที่ก้น: 26 - 31. Snout pointed, about 3/4 eye diameter; maxilla moderate, tip somewhat bluntly pointed, reaching just to inter-operculum; gill cover canals of panamensis-type. Anal fin long, its origin under about middle of dorsal fin base. A narrow silver stripe along flank, about width of pupil.
