Eastern Central Atlantic: Southwest of Azores. The holotype has been found since the publication of the type catalog by Froiland (1970). It is registered as ZMB 6041 and deposited in Museum of Zoology, University of Bergen, Norway (I. Byrkjedal, pers. comm.).
