背面の脊椎 (合計) : 16 - 18; 背鰭 (合計) : 9 - 11; 臀鰭: 6 - 9; 脊つい: 28 - 29. Possesses a conspicuous dark blotch covering superficial part of cleithrum above the pectoral fin base; absence of a dark blotch on its dorsolateral aspect of caudal peduncle. Body depth 29.8-34.0%SL; interorbital width 5.5-6.7%SL.
A series of prominent dark blotches present along middle of dorsal fin. Distal extrascapular present.
