Caudal fin normally rounded (Ref. 50579, 52307), upper lobe sometimes with a slight prolongation in male specimens (Ref. 50579).
Body shape (shape guide): fusiform / normal.
Monogamous, biparental, substrate spawner displaying some degree of sexual dichromatism (Ref. 81260). Pair-bonding, cave spawner (Ref. 52307).
