Dorsale stekels (totaal): 7; Dorsale zachte stralen (totaal): 8; Anale stekels 1; Anale zachte stralen: 9; Wervels: 26. This species is distinct in having a dusky chin, without dusky vertical bars on the body; largely separated pelvic fins; and wide gill opening (ref. 75138).
Only specimen collected by beam trawl at 290 m depth (Ref. 75138).
