Épines dorsales (Total): 10; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 17-18; Épines anales 3; Rayons mous anaux: 8; Vertèbres: 26. Differs from all other congeners by its lips mostly covered with very small scales, upper lip lacking rugosities, lower lip with rugosities along dorsal part; and maxilla almost squared off poteriorly where dorsal and posterior boarders of maxilla forming a right angle (Ref. 78426).
