Facultative air-breathing in the genus (Ref. 126274); Known only from two specimens from the type locality in New Guinea, Indonesia, collected in 1997. Inhabits sago-Pandanus swamp habitat. Attempt to collect specimens in 1998 unsuccessful due to road construction.
