Etymology: Dawkinsia: Named for Richard Dawkins, for his contribution to the public understanding of science and, in particular, of evolutionary science; crassa: 'crassa' (Latin), i.e., means round or thick, referring to the rounded appearance of the species. Species eputhet is an adjective (Ref. 127046).
