Etymology: Echidna: Greek, echidna = viper, 1847 (Ref. 45335).

Lives between rocks in littoral pools. Not frequently seen. Feeds on crabs, lobsters and mollusks and possibly on other soft-bodied invertebrates and fishes (Ref. 28023).
