Etymology: Lipogenys: Greek, lipos = fat + Greek, geny, -yos = face, jaw (Ref. 45335); hyalinumvelum: Name from Latin 'hyalinumvelum', referring to the hyaline membrane (velum) that distinguishes this new species from L. gillii.
