Espinas dorsales (total): 0; Radios blandos dorsales (total): 65-70; Espinas anales 0; Radios blandos anales: 45 - 48; Vértebra: 30. Eyes on right side of body and very large, covered with scales on surface. Body uniformly greyish-brown, without distinct markings. Caudal fin rounded (Ref. 559).

Rare species found on mud bottoms (Ref. 9797). Feeds on benthic animals (Ref. 9797).
